Welcome! Thanks for checking us out. Here is some helpful info about our services:
Sunday's at City Church
We meet every Sunday at 10:15am in our worship centre on Curzon Street. Our services are relaxed and friendly and include a worship section and a teaching from the bible section. We also get people from our church family to share their story or speak about a ministry they are involved in. We often take time to pray for those who would like prayer at the need of our service. After our service has finished, the Hope Centre cafe is open, serving drinks and light refreshments. We would love to connect with you and help make you feel welcome. We hope you enjoy your morning with us.
Children's Ministry - Fun Faith & Friendship
If you have children then we encourage you to bring them along to one of the age appropriate options below. Our aim in these sessions is simply for them to have fun, grow in their understanding of God and to build friendships with one another. Our programme for children on Sunday mornings runs up to 17 years of age each week during the service; please take them to the Hope Centre before the service and ensure to collect by 12pm at the latest.
The children's work consists of:
- Creche - 0-3 years
- Glory Kids - 3-5 years
- Kidzone - 6-11 years
- Youth Church - 11-17 years (First 3 Sundays of each month). Please note that the young people will be in the service to start with and then head across the to the Hope Centre Lounge approx 10.45am each week.
How can I get involved?
There are many ways to get involved in the life of the church. Firstly we encourage you to fill in a Welcome card when you visit or to email us on email@example.com with any questions you have. Furthermore we invite you to our upcoming events which will help you get to know people.
Whether you are considering visiting, just been a few times or been coming on and off for a lengthy period we encourage those who are able to join a life group. We believe that life is better together and we provide a variety of options for people to meet together in different contexts. If you are interested in knowing more about life groups then see our life groups page http://derbycitychurch.co.uk/grow/life-groups - and get in touch.
One of the main ways that people can build friendships and grow in their faith is by serving others. We have a wide range of opportunities which can suit your passion and gifting. We do usually recommend that people first come along, get connected and as you feel part of the family to get involved. If you are interested in serving and wish to help to make a difference then see our serve page http://derbycitychurch.co.uk/serve and fill out the form.
